Senior Years Sport

A sporting competition steeped in tradition

Trinity College is a member of the Public Schools’ Association (PSA) and participates in a year-round inter-school sports program with the six other PSA schools: Aquinas College, Christ Church Grammar School, Guildford Grammar School, Hale School, Scotch College and Wesley College. This highly regarded competition is played on a Saturday morning.

Summer Sport

In Terms 1 and 4 cricket, tennis, volleyball, swimming, water polo, basketball, golf, surfing and rowing are offered.

Winter Sport

Winter sport runs from the beginning of Term 2 until halfway through Term 3. Trinity offers rugby, cross country, football, hockey, badminton and soccer as its winter sport options.

The remainder of Term 3 is devoted to athletics, which involves the whole College and has precedence in training over other sports at this time.

Physical Education

Physical Education is an integral part of the curriculum in Year 10, and is an accredited, optional subject in Years 11–12, as is Outdoor Education.

The content covered give students exposure to a variety of activities aimed at promoting physical awareness and an interest in their own health and wellbeing.
